NICMAC

N.I.C.M.A.C. 2010

Another fabulously successful NICMAC.

The School Team Competition is steadily growing and we are still attracting more and more new schools.   So, if you know of a school out there which hasn’t heard of NICMAC yet, tell them!! The atmosphere is electric!!

The Open Competition continues to grow with even more clubs/dance companies than last year. The introduction of Hip Hop has proved to be very popular and, combined with Dance Fitness and Exercise Fitness, has resulted in a more fluid competition.

Congratulations to all trophy winners in both Schools and Open and special congratulations to Sara McNeilly on winning the Evelyn Watt Memorial Trophy for producers.

We were delighted to welcome a performance from the new Youth Team and wish them well for the future. Also, to the National Team, who performed two superb demonstrations.

See you all at N.I.C.M.A.C. 2011!!

The Northern Ireland

Creative Movement and Aerobic Championships (NICMAC)

This exciting competition is now Northern Ireland’s most popular and prestigious annual event providing a stage to showcase the wealth of talent that exists in our Province.

Since its inception in 1989 the competition has greatly increased in numbers and popularity and the introduction of the School Team Competition in 2000 has encouraged many school to enter affording them the opportunity to inspire those pupils who have an aversion to sports by offering a welcome alternative in fitness.

The Open Competition is open to anyone from 5 to 55 and over proving that fitness, flare and fortitude are not just the preserve of the present generation!!

NICMAC takes place every year at Lagan Valley LeisurePlex, Lisburn. Forms available from Fitness Northern Ireland office.
